Photography Feature (Not Entirely Selfless)
So, I figured since I'm not posting my own art at the moment, I'd share art that others have posted. ...And, also, I have a favor to ask of all the photographers out there. I currently use a Panasonic Lumix DC-FZ80 Zoom and I'm about ready to drop it in a pond as it gray-screens and forces me to turn the camera on and off. I haven't figured out the problem, but my latest fix is shutting off auto-focus, which on a camera with no lens rings (not sure I have the word right, but I'm referring to focusing with a traditional film camera by turning something on the lens itself) to turn to manual focus it's... interesting without the auto-focus. So, I want a new camera and am looking for recommendations. (or even a solution to my problem?) My wish list: 1. Ability to take photos without needing the flash - I do mostly wildlife and flash is evil. Basically, I'm very intrigued by this full frame sensor business that is less grainy in low light because I'm often in the forest and it's always so

We were so pleased that our previous journal received such a positive response.
There were many thought provoking replies and we would like to highlight some of them along with the artists in this journal

Why? I am also a professional musician. In both music and art, I feel the greatest purpose is communication, or expression. For the artist, this is a means of release, but it is also the whole point for the audience; technically perfect music and art can both get boring quickly if there is nothing else there. Besides expression, a secondary g

Jenny Said " Inayat, Lets do a feature on Water, We haven’t done it before"
We (Jenny and myself) have collaborated for many years on many groups
and she was right, I couldn’t recall ever having a feature on water.
Water in its many forms is a very common and often chosen element in art and many
times it is the subject. The many forms of water can invoke a gamut
of emotions and convey a multitude of sentiments. From thundering
power and rampant strength to tranquil serenity.
But we seem to take this natural resource for granted, and often forget how precious this
natural resource is

Behind the Scenes: Urban/Rural and Still Life
Dear all,
Welcome to a new CRPhotography (https://www.deviantart.com/crphotography) project wherein I will be shedding light on the behind the scenes process of your favorite photographs here on DeviantArt! Each month the series will sync with CRP's monthly theme. This month we did not choose a theme, so we're looking at a variety of photos. We hope you enjoy this special insight into these amazing images!

1. How did you prepare for this shot?
I was looking to test out a new lens that I'd bought and wanted to do a shoot that I'd not done before. This is an angle of the Harbour Bridge that I've seen many times before, but had never attempted a twilight, blue hour shoot
